Madison College: Center for Entrepreneurship
2 Minute Trep Tips

Madison College's Center for Entrepreneurship provides a wealth of helpful resources for local entrepreneurs, including free content offered on the 2 Minute Trep Tips segment on their YouTube channel. These helpful snippets needed a logo that would add that special element to each intro. The client wanted something professional yet playful. (Oh, and something that moves!)

The brainstorm began with some typographic play and an exploration of the hexagonal shape of their former logo. While sketching out a speech bubble concept, I thought about combining that with the hexagonal shape. Serendipitously, the result looked a bit like a stopwatch, and I ran with it! I found this perfectly encompassed the essence of the brand: helpful communication on a time limit. I finalized the look with Madison College branding, in color selection and font choice. The logo was designed to have versatility, with multiple versions for multiple formats. The text-only version when the stopwatch is a bit too cumbersome for the space, and the full logo where space is available, and the animated logo when that impact is needed.
